The Detour: The World’s Most Epic Free Kick
The creative process is never a straight line.
Ideas bounce around. They zig, they zag, they get stuck, then suddenly click. That’s where the good stuff lives. Creativity isn’t solo, it’s built together and young creatives get that. They hype the wins, push through the messy parts, and know that every back-and-forth takes the idea somewhere new.
Same goes for soccer. It’s all about teamplay. And as a main sponsor of the FIFA World Cup ’26, Lenovo is all in on that energy. For this new Made with Lenovo Yoga x Intel project, we wanted to tap into what happens when a shared passion—like the game—sparks a global creative chain reaction.

It all kicks off with NudeRobot in LA. As he lines up his shot, a sleek mechanical leg forms around his own, then… Boom! The ball rockets off the crossbar and blasts straight into the next chapter of this surreal adventure.
Gabriel Benicio picks up the ball in Brazil at the Three Powers Square, where a pair of monumental warrior statues spring to life. They kick and juggle the ball before sending it on its way to Qatar.
In Qatar, Ghost3Dee uses the Katara Towers to catch the ball mid-flight. It rolls along sloped rooflines, through ramps, and triggers a wild Rube Goldberg machine, flipping, bouncing and finally launching toward India.
For Shutter Authority, the ball drops into a bustling Indian market, knocking over scattered objects triggering a chaotic chain reaction. The ball then spills into the street, bouncing off passing cars, until it reaches an elephant who gives it the final nudge toward Berlin.
In Berlin, M_Editat switches to an analogue street-art style, bouncing the ball across windows and facades before firing it to Toronto.
In Toronto, Camyl Buena turns the city into a full-on pinball machine. The ball ricochets off buildings before getting launched up the CN Tower and back to LA where NudeRobot, now with his upgraded mechanical leg, finally scores the epic goal.
Alongside each artist’s individual video, every creator also produced a "How I Made It" video, pulling back the curtain on their creative process, tools, and techniques they used on the Lenovo Yoga.
Missed goals have never been this fun.
