The Ultimate College Life Hack
Made with love in
SO WORTH IT
DoorDash, a large delivery platform in the US, launched their new subscription plan called DashPass For Students. It’s a great deal for any hungry college student on a budget, but there’s always a natural suspicion to any deal that sounds too good to be true.
CONVINCING OUR GENZ AUDIENCE
Whenever a value based deal comes around, people just want to know if it’s legit. The number one question on Reddit is always the same: “Is it worth it?”. We used this insight as the starting point to create a campaign that showed all the different moments in college life where having DashPass For Students is So Worth It.
BRINGING IN A STUDENT DIRECTOR
What better way to capture the right feel of our audience than by hiring someone who IS our audience? DoorDash loved the idea. So together with our creative partner MikeTeeVee we reached out to many film schools and universities. After receiving dozens of portfolios and treatments, we found our unicorn at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, Graduate Student Julie Piscina.
SO WORTH IT
We showed how DashPass For Students is the ultimate college-life hack. Whether you’re avoiding your ex in the dining hall, struggling post leg-day or being swallowed up by your couch after pulling an all-nighter. We captured all the moments in your college life when having DashPass for Students is So Worth It.
VIBRANT GENZ VISUAL STYLE
With bold typography, vibrant colors and an abundance of stickers style we created a bold visual style that reflected our GenZ audience. This got translated across a nationwide multi-platform with a wide range of videos in 6s, 15s and even two 30s TVCs. Together with a lot of statics, stories, Snapchats, Spotify audio ads, and even an on-campus activation with stickers and apparel, we created a rich campaign that really showcases it’s So Worth It!
